Just spoke to Rachel (she’s knackered!), Nick’s snoozing and they’re just outside Le Mens on the way down the West of France. Driving down through Tours, Poitiers, Niort and planned stop at Saintes this evening.

Tomorrow it’s down through Bordeaux towards Spain and overnight tomorrow in Valladolid, central Spain.

Wednesday – the last leg from Valladolid to Lisbon

Checked into the Holiday Inn, Heathrow….what a slum!

So what’s it all about then…why do I do this??

Been thinking about that tonight! Some friends wonder why I’m flying to Lisbon to See Pendragon play after I’ve been to Lille, Ittervoort, The Peel, Rotherham and Glasgow already this year!

Well, for the same reason that people follow their football team to Barcelona, Rome, Lisbon, France etc…for the enjoyment of the gig and the travel and the chance to have a beer and chill out in places you wouldn’t ordinarily go to!

I used to follow Newcastle Utd Home and Away, only missed 10 games in 12 years, then as the kids grew up, different pulls on my time meant I couldn’t get to the matches.

It’s the same buzz I get by following the band – and it’s not as frequent! I’m 40 on friday, and the old Wild Hogs syndrome does have a say in things somewhat!

Enjoy life the best you can! How often do you get the chance to see your favourite band play the type of arena like the Coliseu!! I have to say that Karen is amazing and supportive of these travels! Love her to bits

So, after the gig, it’s a taxi back to the Airport and then back to the UK, drive from Heathrow back home and get ready for the big BBQ bash on Saturday! I’ll post updates, Pictures and Vids of the gig when I get back on Friday! Graeme
