Posted: April 24, 2009 at 1:47 pma good evening was had last night at the local Belgian Bar (Hops). I took my Jupiler crate with all the empties back to the bar and decided it was time to try something new. While I was making my mind up, I had a Jupiler to help the thought process!!
Mr Pembroke decided on a Trappistes Rochefort – nice glass, bad drink! around 8% and extremely hoppy
..one to put down to experience. I decided on a Cookie Beer, again, strong (8%) and tasted of Leffe and Ginger beer….one was enough!
On to something a bit more restrained – a blonde Pils…Vedett – nice glass, piss aroma!! (literally)
I decided on a rather cultered brew made for Gnomes – La Chouffe, this one was top notch!! so I had another!
After all that Belgian Beer, there was only one course of action left to take…back to mine to watch Concerto Maximo and a couple of Stella’s
It turned out to be a rather good Weekend Evening Eve!
